Floor Time

We made it to the floor. This is good. Its another step toward home. However, being on the "floor" brings a small set of challenges of its own, one of them being noisy neighbors, but we're cranking Julianne's sound machine way up! Anyway...she's doing well. The chest tubes are still draining. They're increasing the diuretics tomorrow to try and get rid of more fluid. We got a few smiles and fun this morning, but after that she was just zonked out! The pain meds are making her REALLY sleepy. She's no longer on Morphine...just Oxycodone and Tylenol. Tonight they're decreasing one of the pain meds with the hope that it will give her a little more awake time, but still keep her comfortable.

Overall, things are good! We're so very thankful for all of the progress! It will be really nice to get those chest tubes out because they ARE NOT comfortable. They have to quit draining first though.

Thank you so much for all of your encouraging words and prayers for our family. Its so nice to read all of your comments and emails. We don't always get to respond, but we ALWAYS read them. Thank you, thank you! Please continue prayers for our baby boo.

We're praying for a room to yourself, but if not then good roommates (patient/parents)... I'm praying for strength for each of you and joy whenever possible. I often felt joy/dread for the floor, but ultimately that is the way you want to go before heading out the doors to go home. Home, what a great place to be, and we're praying for your return soon! Claire, Sarah, Maeve, Adrienne, Jenna and the gang will take good care of you!

Can I possibly be looking at the same baby as I did over the weekend?
Praise the Lord! What a remarkable recovery your baby boo is making.
She is a little trooper. We are so happy to see her on the floor now and feeling better, being weaned from all the meds and hopefully having those bad old chest tubes out soon. Will keep checking on "one of my favorite heart babies".

It is soooo good to see Julianne coming back around. What a miracle that she is recooperating so quickly.

One of the pictures looks like Mickey is kissing her little hand...sweet.:)

Julianne is the last thing on my mind when I close my eyes and the first thing when I open them. Of course I pray for her every chance I get.

I love you all . You are such wonderful parents.

I love you all
