We Made It!!

(First of all, I tried to post this yesterday, but did not have the blog set up to accept emails...so I'm sorry its late :(

Second of all, the server here has blogger blocked because its a "social networking site" :( Its not a problem for posting updates because I can email them. However, pictures are a little more difficult. We are attempting to post them through this email. I hope it works. If it doesn't I have no way to fix it. So, if you see a bunch of jibberish....just ignore it. If you see pictures...GREAT!)

Well, I had hoped to post Friday but time just slipped away as we made all the preparations for our trip yesterday. So, I'm sorry I'm a little late.

Anyway, Julianne and I woke up at 5:00 AM and by the time we got ready to leave our house at about 7:00 AM Julianne was asleep.

(By the way, is that onesie true or what?)

She rode contently in her sling through both airports

We made it without incident. Julianne couldn't have been better on the plane. She did get a little fussy toward the end of the 2nd flight but no major wailing or anything. She even sucked on her pacifier during ascent and descent! She has REFUSED to suck on her pacifier for the last several weeks so this was major. She won't suck on it anymore though. She's a smart little cookie.

Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the airplane restroom had a changing station in it. So when Julianne was stinking up our row I took her to the restroom and had no problem changing her.

We arrived in Boston at about 2:30 PM today to 28 degree weather. Brrrrr! WITH THE FEEDING TUBE STILL IN PLACE!! YAY!

We're all settled in at the Devon Nicole House. Julianne had some trouble going to sleep. I suppose its because we're in a new place AND she didn't sleep much today so I know she was exhausted. She's sleeping soundly now though. Julianne and Kent are all unpacked. I haven't unpacked my stuff yet because I'm just too tired. That will wait until tomorrow.

Monday Julianne will be admitted to the hospital for pre-operative testing. Then sometime on Tuesday she'll have her heart catherization and will spend another night to recover. On Wednesday we'll meet with Julianne's surgeon, Dr. Pigula, and finish up any consents and testing. She'll be discharged that day and we'll head back to the Devon Nicole House to snuggle our little bug. My family arrives Wednesday evening, so I'm hoping they'll come by. :) Thursday we are supposed to be at the hospital at 6:30 AM for Julianne's surgery. That's the schedule so far. I'll update if anything changes.

Please continue to pray for Julianne. Please pray for her safety and for the guidance of the doctors' and surgeons' hands. Also, that she'll remain healthy. Please pray for Kent and I as its going to be so hard to see them take her away. I think even harder than last time because now we know her SO WELL.

Thank you for the prayers and for checking in on us! We will post more tomorrow.

(Update on the picture posting, it didn't work. I had to go to a coffee shop to post the pictures. So, we'll do our best to post pictures, but at least we can post messages.)

I am so thankful for a safe trip for you all. We are praying for safety for Julianne through this entire process and the Dr. and nurses that will be attending her. I pray for comfort and peace for you and Kent also. The more I read about the hospital and the Devon Nicole House, the more impressed I am. God is so good for providing the way only HE can.

God bless!!

I am so happy to hear that everything went smoothly from here to Boston. I prayed for every plane that flew over my home Saturday morning just in case it was yours. So they were all blessed!

Julianne looks so calm and comfortable in the sling and snow suit. I think she gets the calmnest from her parents.

I will pray for all of you and that God gives you strength as you see Julianne go off to surgery.

In our church bulliten today it said that the candle in the church sanctuary will burn this week for Julianne Caperton.

I love you all and I wish I could be there with you.

Love you Aunt\Great Aunt Suzette
