Evening Update

Well, Julianne's PICC line was placed with no problems.  She was still a little groggy when I left, but is doing fine.  We got the results of her echo.  Unfortunately there's been no improvement in heart function.  I know everything happens according to God's timing so I'm trying not to be too disappointed.  We'll just keep praying that it will improve.  She is still doing GREAT as far as her heart rate, blood pressure and breathing are concerned!  For the most part, her personality is back to "regular Julianne" as well!  We thank God for healing her in these ways!  She's doing well on her new medication Captopril and will probably be moved from the CICU to the "floor" tomorrow.

Dr. Breitbart said today that they talked it over and have decided to plan to go ahead with Julianne's Glenn surgery on Thursday.  She'll have another echo on Monday and if there is still no improvement then they will do an MRI some time between Monday and Thursday.  The MRI is just to make sure they're not missing anything.  I asked Dr. Breitbart if it was reasonable to expect that Julianne's function would improve after the Glenn and he said that it is.  The Glenn will reduce some of the work load on Julianne's heart. Dr. Breitbart said that Julianne's surgeon, Dr. Pigula, will do his best to put as little stress as possible on her heart during the surgery.

Please continue to pray for Julianne's heart function to improve.  We are SO VERY thankful for the improvement so far and we are encouraged every time we hear Julianne coo or see her sweet smile.  God has given us so much to be thankful for!

Glad to hear she's back to her normal self! These babies are so resiliant. We will be praying for Julianne's glenn on Thursday and that her heart is placed under minimal stress during surgery...and most of all for an improved function afterwards. Jessica, you are such a blessing to me. I know that Julianne is strong partially due to your being such a strong mom and faithful Christian. She has to just feel that from you and thrive on it. You are all in our prayers today and always! Love~Rebecca

We continue to keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Quite a funny story but I just googled my name and found your blog. My name is Julianne Glenn. The same as your daughters. I myself am a Christian and I am so very happy you trusted in him during this hard time. I see this was back in 2008 and was wondering how your daughter is today.
