Tummy Troubles

Yesterday after speaking with the pediatric cardiologist on the phone, we made a quick trip to the ER. Julianne usually gags and retches several times a day, sometimes managing to bring up a small amount of stomach acid or formula. Yesterday she'd done this three times. On the fourth time she threw up a lot more and it was really, really yellow - like egg yolk. All throughout the day and the night before she'd been struggling trying to pass something. Her face would turn all red, she'd tuck her legs up and let out sudden intense cries but she couldn't get anything out. The cardiologist said he wanted to be extra cautious with her because these babies are so fragile. So we brought her in.

Turns out we brought Julianne to the ER so she could poop. As the nurse was trying to put in the suppository, Julianne filled up 2 diapers! As for the vomit, the doctor said it could be a virus or it could be her usual reflux issues. When we got home she continued to have gas problems. She seemed to have a break from them over night, but they've started back up this morning.

On a totally different note...

Today is Julianne's and my first day at home alone. It has started off good! Like I said, she seemed to have a break from the gas last night, so I wasn't up NEAR as much as normal. I think I got at least 7 1/2 hours of sleep! So, I'm well rested for our first day alone together. I hope the rest of the day goes well too. :)

Thanks for checking in on us. We appreciate your continued prayers for Julianne.

Catch as much sleep as you can. Those few months are hard. Sleep when she sleeps. Dusting can wait for another day.

We will continue to pray that she gets stronger and stronger each and every day!!

So what does Julianne have on her X-mas list for Santa??

Hugs & Kisses
