It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I can't believe Christmas is only 15 days away! It's my favorite time of year and it's almost over! We're doing our best to make the most of it!

Last weekend my mom and I took Julianne to a Christmas performance by the Baton Rouge Symphony with Julianne's homeschool group.  It was wonderful! Julianne said she liked the violins the best.

Big smile at the Symphony

Downtown Baton Rouge

Painting class with her homeschool group...she did such a great job!

We've also spent time just having fun at home! She's really loving princesses, Wii bowling, board games, and all sorts of pretending right now! Oh, and Julianne also really likes pretending to be a "bad queen" and asking people if their food (mostly apples) are poisoned. :-)

Wearing her towel like Daddy and Mommy!

The toys are spreading...out of her room...down the hall...help!

This weekend we got our Christmas tree and went to a drive through living nativity. It was so beautiful! Julianne was especially taken by the choir of angels.  She's constantly walking around singing, "Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ria!!!" Beautiful.  Tonight our Advent devotional talked about how the shepherds were amazed and a question at the end asked, "What amazes you?" Julianne's answer was, "I'm amazed when I listen and obey." I am actually amazed when that happens as well, ha ha! I'm really kidding (sort of)!! I think this is the first year she's had somewhat of an understanding of the Christmas story.  To me it's amazing to watch her take all of it in, ask questions and even tell others about Jesus' birth.  It's such a joy to be able to share the story of God's perfect love for us with our little girl!!
