My Big Girl

Things have been going really well here lately! Julianne is completely daytime potty trained! It happened really quick. We told her that when the Christmas tree was gone, so were the diapers. We gave her some Minnie Mouse undies and never looked back. :) Nighttime control will take a lot longer I think because she still gets a tube feeding after she goes to sleep and two more doses of diuretic. I don't think I could hold it all night with all of that! Ha ha!

Look how grown up she looks! Time goes way too quickly!

Julianne has also really picked up her eating. She's actually telling me she's hungry now!!!! I love, love, love hearing those words. She eats yogurt with flax seed every morning for breakfast, and throughout the day will eat some combination of baby food chicken noodle, baby food fruits, mashed potatoes, pudding, ice cream or more yogurt. If you can't tell by that list, she's still not chewing. We're happy with this major improvement, chewing or no chewing. :)

Unfortunately, Julianne is sick this week...coughing, congestion, upset stomach, fever. She's hasn't wanted to eat much today and is having a lot of difficulty tolerating her tube feedings. I spoke with her doctor today and he gave me some things to try, then we'll see how she is in the morning.

Another really great thing that happened around here is that Julianne completed her first semester of Little Gym. She really enjoys her time at Little Gym. I almost get emotional seeing the joy on her face when we go in there each week. :)

Watching through the window, waiting for her time to go into the gym. So happy!!!

"Everyone please shake your shakers..."

Getting her medal

So proud of our big, brave girl

I also wanted to let everyone know that we are joining forces with Julianne's friend and fellow heart patient, Emma Kate for the heart walk this year! We are really excited and we hope that you'll join us in supporting the American Heart Association! You can join our team here! I will post more information about the Heart Walk as it gets closer. For now, join the team, spread the word and save the date! March 26, 2011
