Saturday Evening Post

We're still draining, but today's chest x-ray did look better than yesterday's and that's a good thing! Julianne is doing well today, nothing new to report. She is just being funny keeping us entertained, and asking to go home. Today she was listening to her "Sleep Sound in Jesus" CD and the first song is a male and female duet. When the lady would sing Julianne would say, "Minnie's singing!" (as in Minnie Mouse) and when the man would sing she'd say, "Daddy's singing". Finally Kent said, "I guess Minnie and I are doing a duet!" I thought that was really funny to picture. Last night as Kent and I were eating dinner, I realized I wouldn't need my fork. So I asked Julianne if she wanted it to put in her "pool" (pink bin of water). She said, "Ya ya ya!!" I gave it to her and then she said, "I wanna eat mommy's food". Of course, I was gonna jump on that! So I held out my little cup of guacamole and Julianne dug in with the fork. I was thinking "Wow! She wants to eat!" Well, she then proceeded to hold the fork up to my mouth and motion with her mouth for me to open wide. Apparently instead of "I wanna eat mommy's food" she meant "I wanna make mommy eat food". :)

Grandpa and Grammie had to leave today so Julianne made sure to get in some final bubble-blowing playtime with them:

Making sure she's thoroughly informed on after surgery home care

Out for another stroll around 8 East

Listening to the elevators "ding"

We are already ready to for Julianne to be out of here for sure but we are SO-VERY-THANKFUL that it seems this stay will be quite a bit shorter than her previous stays. We're just waiting for that chest tube to drain and then things will be moving toward home. Thank you for all the love and prayers. :)

I am SO very thankful to our heavenly Father for His superintending love (Mom, Dad, grandparents, prayer warriors) and His provision (doctors, nurses, Mom, Dad, et. al.) that in retrospect my week-end WAS good!

About the bubbles, is that a sort of a going away ritual (like blowing kisses) OR just plain fun?!! ;)

Y'all bless us through the photos, short movies clips, the fun text descriptions of an UNfun situation(s) that lead our hearts to Christ!

Wow I can't believe how much better she looks from even a day ago!!!

What a sweet video Grammie and bubbles!!

She looks like as soon as she gets rid of that tube she is ready to run out of there and not look back.

Thank you God for guideing the wonderful doctors and nurses at Childrens hospital to give Julianne the best care that a child could have.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
(Psalm 9:10)

I pray that you all have a beautiful Sunday!

Continuing to pray for that chest tube to drain so you 3 can be closer to going home! Julianne's looking so great! What a big, brave girl you've got! Also praying nothing else goes wrong/holds up the recovery process!

It's great to see her out strolling the halls. Keep those elevators dinging!!So glad to hear that the x rays are looking better and hopefully closer to the tube being removed!! I saw your folks at church this morning. I didn't get to speak to them, but it was good to see them home safely!

God bless and look forward to hearing that you are homeward bound!

God bless,
Melinda
