One Year Ago Today

It was one year ago today that Julianne Finally got to come home from the hospital for the first time! She didn't get to wear the outfit I'd purchased for her way back before she was born and had pictured her coming home in a million times, but it didn't matter. She was finally home. We showed Julianne her room and began to live life at home with our baby boo. Of course, we did end up back in the hospital like 4 days later (and I think we all know there were a few more hospital stays this past year)...but at least it was only for one night. I remember it was overwhelming in the beginning...trying to make sure all her meds were done on time and correctly, keeping up with her tube feedings, catching vomit, trying to get her to sleep in a comfortable position that wouldn't make her gag and making sure that the feeding tube stayed in her nose! We were and are so grateful for the help we had from my mom, my sister and all of the people who provided us with meals for months after getting home. It was such a relief not to have to add COOKING to everything that was already going on. I'm very thankful that the rest of Julianne's time at home has not been as stressful as those first days. Life has been great at home with our sweet girl and we thank God for every day of it!

Happy Homecoming Day! Time does fly when you are having fun, right?! Julianne looks adorable!! I love her cheeks; they remind me of my Mary Clare's cheeks!

Julianne is just fabulous! She was such a trooper in Boston. Glad it wasn't too cold. The colored leaves were beautiful. Thank you grammie and Jessica for letting me tag along. I had a great time. Sorry about the apple blossom! Love you all.

And she is just as beautiful and precious now as she was back then. Maybe a little more vocal! Ha. But God bless her and you for the journey you have been through and continue on.
