I hope you're all assuming no news is good news...

...because you would be correct!  Julianne is doing exceedingly well!  In fact, she's been moved out of the CICU and to the floor (the cardiac inpatient unit)!

Everyone says she looks great and we'd have to agree. :)  We were expecting Julianne to be pretty fussy as we'd heard that after the Glenn babies are more fussy because it causes headaches.  She's actually been even less fussy than she was before her surgery.  She's not even on any "hard drugs", just Tylenol and Motrin.

Julianne been working on drinking bottles too.  She took 15-20ML on 4 different occasions already.  Today hasn't been so great with the bottle drinking, but we're working on it.  We are totally excited that she hasn't thrown any of them up.  She will have a swallow study later this week to reevaluate whether or not she needs an NJ tube or an NG tube.  We're hoping that the NG tube will be the verdict.

Julianne's heart rate has been normal and has continued on Captopril  She will be started on a new medication called Plavix tomorrow.  This is to help prevent blood clots.  She will have an echo on Monday to check out how her heart is doing.

Thank you for all your prayers for our little button.  We thank God everyday for Julianne and for how she's improved!   Please continue to pray for her, as we know you will.

Finally, today was our 6 year anniversary.  Jessica's parents stayed with Julianne while we went out to eat to celebrate what has been a very special year!  It was nice to leave "hospital land" for a little while tonight. :)

Happy 6th Anniversary! I was just mentioning the fact that you hadn't blogged since yesterday early and said it must be good when I checked one last time before bed. Jack says she is just going to be one of those "miracle" babies. I agree although we really know that our Faithful God always hears the prayers of His children and answers in His will. Sooo, thank you Father for answering these parents, relatives, friends and unknowns' prayers for Julianne! Much Love,
Kelley & Jack O.

Kent, Jess and Julianne,

I just got back from a retreat and believe even more than before I left home. It is his work carrying all of you through this experience, as you know. I am sure he has a good reason for this which we may never know. To hear this good news is so great, what a feeling, huh? Happy Anniversary to you both and I am sure Julainne would say the same. Happy, Happy Mommy and Daddy!!!!!

My Love,
Kathy Cheramie

I have been following your story on and off for some time now. My daughter was born with DORV- she is now almost one. It is amazing how similar our situations are...Hannah was in the hospital for her Glen on our 6 year anniversary too!!! She had hers done back in September. I wish you the best of luck in your journey!!
