Still Working on Bottle Feeding

Other than the fact that we're still trying to get Julianne to take a bottle, there's not much to update. Tonight, she drank (or possibly it just dribbled into her mouth...not sure) 2 ML. I know that's not much, but considering its been zero lately, that's an improvement. Julianne has a GI doctor appointment on Friday, so I'm hoping he'll either have some ideas or can refer us to someone who does. She is still gagging/heaving about 4 times a day. So, not much has changed in that department.

Julianne is now grabbing at some toys if I put them close to her hands! So that's pretty neat. She also likes to touch my hands and the TV remote. :) She likes to touch the buttons.

Today we took Julianne for a walk. I thought it may be cold enough for her bunting suit. I was wrong. She was asleep before we even walked out the door. So, I took her out of the bunting suit and let her nap. Then, later, we went for the walk.

Sometimes no news is good news. Hope she enjoyed her walk. It was such a beautiful day yesterday.

We continue to keep all of you in our prayers.

XOXOXOXO

We'll keep praying for her feeding~she'll get the hang of it soon! If you think about it, it's really hard to do; suck, swallow, and breathe through your nose - all at the same time!! Conner had trouble with that too. He hated eating, he'd scream. We had to go to occupational therapy and physical therapy. We will pray that Julianne is relieved of her gagging, poor baby.
I ran into your mom and Laura at Wal-Mart, they are sooo sweet and just so proud of you and soooooooo in love with that precious little girl. Thanks for your faithfulness in posting updates and for allowing God to show His strength through your family.

I'll pray that she will return to her previous feedings and will keep them down!

Right now she is only getting to use one nose hole. No wonder she's having trouble. She's wondering what's up too. Don't give up. She's your #1cutie little baby. She'll be doing everything soon. Ya'll won't be able to keep up with her.

you are so lucky she's so big! Giac has never climbed above the 5th percentile, tho he was born at 95%. Good to hear she is doing so well.

Just wanted to say hi from one Children's Hospital Boston HLHS mama to another! Aren't they so wonderful there? We're pre-Fontan, cath there this week.

I'll be back to read all of Julianne's story.
