The first plane to Charlotte was interesting Her feeding tube got caught on the seatbelt and jerked it out. So naturally, that was upsetting. Then, we had a total of 15 minutes to get to the next plane because of rain in D.C. and Philadelphia that delayed our flight pattern. Instead of having an hour and 15 minute layover, it was just that 15 minutes, which would never had made because it was on a totally different concourse. God helped us out by having a little baggage shuttle show up and gave us a ride. We made it there, despite the rude sarcasm of the US Airways clerk. So on the second plane, we had to give Julianne some sugar water to sustain her until she was able to be fed at the hospital.
To cap off our trip, we were greeted by family, with handshakes, hugs, kisses, balloons, and baggage help. That was received with gratitude, and we were glad to be back home. So now we continue her feeding process here at Ochsner, and hopefully will only be here a few days, but it all depends on our little girl.
Thank you God for the grace to make it through that day and every day.

We were THRILLED to be able to see her finally in person. She's more beautiful in person.
I'll have you know that Travis did all the talking up her to Ashlynn & Brant when they got home. He was very excited to convey what she looked like, what she was wearing and her eyes being opened. He even told them that she had smiled at all of us. He's thrilled to have a new cousin, well, second cousin, but he doesn't know that...... : )
We'll see you soon!!!
Hugs & kisses

It was such a relief to see you all coming through the gate at the airport! I bet you all would do great on the amazing race show!
She looks sooo cozy now!!
Thank you God for protecting this special little family.
See you soon,
Love Great Aunt Suzette
Sorry to hear about the tube scare. That is awesome that you are home. What is a good time that we can come see you?
Matthew
Mmm, thinking of a reason for another road trip- to NO! We'll wait for a while to let her immunity catch up and you all to get rested and acclimated. The weather is at least somewhat what you have been used to the last month and a half!
God's continued blessing,
Kelley O

We are so glad you are home, even it if it to another hospital. God willing, you will be in your "real" home soon. We, too, look forward to meeting little Julianne and welcoming you both back home.
Love, peace and rest to you all. Judy & Neal
So So So glad you guys made it safely to NO...I know you are glad to be home and near family. She is just precious...
Welcome Home! I'm glad you survived the crazy trip back home, even if it is in another hospital. Sounds like it won't be long now until you're really home and can get acclimated to life with a newborn!
