Prayer for Julianne

Please pray for Julianne tonight.  She had a major episode involving her arrhythmia and several instances of tachycardia (fast heart rate...240 +).  The medications they were giving her were not working and she had to be moved back to the Cardiac ICU for additional intravenous medications.  She went into tachycardia again and they had to increase the dosage so much to pull her out of it that it slowed her heart too much and she had to be put on ECMO.  ECMO is the heart/lung machine that does the function of the heart for her.  She's also back on the ventilator.  It was very scary to be in the room when all of this was happening.

She's on ECMO now and her heart is stable on it.  The good news is that they can try out different medications for her arrhythmia without it having adverse effects on her heart while she's on ECMO.

We thank God that Julianne is stable now.  All we could think to pray while she was having these problems was "please save her."  We're thankful that she was moved to the ICU when she was and that she did not have the major episode while in the other ward.  We're also thankful for the knowledge He's given the doctors and nurses to recognize and correct problems.  We're thankful that God led us here to Boston and has provided for us to be here.  We pray that Julianne does not have any permanent damage to any of her other organs and that she'll recover fully.  We pray that the doctors will find a permanent solution to her arrhythmia problem. We also pray that when the time is right she'll be able to come off of ECMO without a problem. We pray that God will heal Julianne.

The doctors are optimistic that there was not any damage to her other organs because she was tended to so quickly with chest compressions, the ventilator and ECMO and also that she's moving her extremities.  So, that was encouraging.

Please pray for Julianne.

Thank you, God.

I am so relieved to hear that Julianne is stable now. I had been praying since I heard of the problems (and have been also these past few weeks.) Praise God for all He has done for her. She is a miracle and a blessing. Sept. 20th was a year from the day I found out I had lost my baby and that anniversary reminded me, along with "Julianne's Journey," how precious life is, every minute of it, and I praise God for this miracle He has given you. Give her a kiss and a hug for me and enjoy every one that you can give her.

With love and continued prayers (and a hug for you as well),

Amanda A.

I know where you are coming from. I had my son back in the hospital when we were home and he had a heart rate of 240 + and they put him on medication called digoxin to regulate the heart...so I pray that you guys make it through. I had prayed when my son had the problem and I pray for you as well.

I am glad that they knew to immediatly to move her back to ICU with no delay.

I got on my knees to pray for her last night. I will continue praying for all of you throughout the day.

Love you
