A Fully Full Day

As I said yesterday, we had to have Julianne at the hospital for 7:30 this morning. We figured it would be a really long day with a lot of appointments...and it was. Her echo was scheduled for 4PM today!!! Thankfully, a very sweet nurse who took care of Julianne while she was a newborn was able to get Julianne a MUCH earlier echo appointment and we were done with everything by 12:45!! Woo Hoo! Still, that was 5 hours of doctors appointments for Julianne. She did a great job today, but she was ready to be done.

As soon as the morning of appointments was over we had lunch, took a brief nap and hurried over to the swan boats. We certainly made the most of our free afternoon. We took the subway to the Boston Public Gardens where Julianne got to ride the swan boats....

On the boat

Then we walked around the Public Gardens and took some pictures with the duckling statues...

...next, we headed to Boston Commons and put our toes in the frog pond

(not really for frogs...its for kids)...

...finally, we finished off the afternoon with a carousel ride and a LONG walk for ice cream.

After a subway ride home, dinner and a bath, Grandpa and Grammy stopped by to say goodnight after their "adventure" from Baton Rouge to Boston. Julianne gave her night-night kisses and that was the end of a great day.

I think Julianne had a great pre-surgery-afternoon-of-fun! Boston is such a beautiful city and we were so happy to be able to enjoy a nice day today. :)

Tomorrow, Julianne is first case. That means we have to be at the hospital at 6 AM. The surgery should only last about 2 hours. She will likely spend one night in the CICU and then move to the floor. Please continue to pray that this surgery and recovery will be complication-free and that God would grant both Julianne and us peace tomorrow. I should get a chance to update tomorrow, so we'll keep y'all posted!
