Updates!

Julianne had her pediatrician appointment on Tuesday. Nothing new really. I showed the doctor a video of Julianne "honking" in her sleep when she breathes. He wasn't too concerned about it, but is letting Julianne's cardiologist know so we can discuss it at her cardiologist appointment tomorrow. Her pediatrician feels that the gagging/retching is not related to the volume that we're feeding her because Julianne seems to be tolerating that just fine. He thinks that she just has a sensitive gag reflex. He said for us to continue to compress the amount of time it takes to give each feeding. Meanwhile, Julianne continues to gag/retch about 8 times a day. It seems like something we're going to have to just wait out.

Julianne's baby dedication is going to be this Sunday at Riverside church at 10:30. A baby dedication is somewhat similar to some baby baptisms. It's a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways. Anyone who would like to attend is welcome!

That's about it for the updates today. Thank you so much for checking in on Julianne. Please pray that she would be relieved of all this gagging and retching. :)

Wish we could be there for the ceremony but we'll have to be there in spirit. I know she'll be such a cutie little baby that day smiling and giggling at everyone. Love the new picture!

We will be with you Sunday in spirit! She is such a beautiful child of God and I praise Him for you all. I will continue to pray for her feeding issues and that her gag reflex will not be so sensitive. Thanks for the recent pictures-WONDERFUL!!

God bless,

I haven't seen the video of the honking- but you might ask your MD about a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea.
