Just A Quick Update

Early Steps came and evaluated Julianne today. The therapist is recommending occupational therapy twice a week and vision therapy for Julianne. Occupational therapy will work on motor skills and eating. Vision therapy is recommended because of her stroke causing a possible right field block and also because the therapist couldn't get Julianne to follow a light all the way to the right. She'd look to the right, but not as far as she would to the left. They will be calling me to set up appointments.

The therapist did say that Julianne is right where she needs to be with speech (yay!) and that she has GREAT social skills! That was certainly encouraging to hear.

We're hoping for a quiet weekend and hopefully some nice strolling weather. We hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks for checking in and, as always, thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement.

Wonderful news on Julianne's progress. What a little miracle she is. Oh, you can never have too many pictures. We love to see her growing, so keep them coming.

We hope to hear good results of Tuesday's test. Enjoy the strolling weather we are suppose to have this weekend.

I'm so happy that y'all are getting set up with Early Steps. Aren't they wonderful? We will be working on motor skills and eating with Emma Kate too. They also told us that she "has excellent social skills."

Our babies may not be able to eat, but boy can they talk!! I mean isn't that more important anyway :)

Julianne is perfect! Maybe she was just tired of looking at the light. She's gonna do just fine. Jessica, Julianne is so happy because of the way you and Kent treat her. We love you.

I love keeping up with your sweet Julianne. I "happened" upon your blog a few weeks ago while looking up other "heart families." I also have a sweet HLHS miracle baby girl. Mary Clare will be 10 months old this month. She had her Norwood at 5 days and Glenn at 6 months and is doing exceptionally well so far. These babies are something else! It is great to see another HLHS baby girl doing so well. Thanks for sharing her! (We also have a blog. www.babypennington. Our HLHS journey begins in March of 2007, when we discovered she had HLHS. I was 16 weeks pregnant) Again, thanks for sharing her precious life.
