Please Pray

Well, we're nearing surgery day for Julianne.  Dr. Breitbart sat us down to talk further about what to expect.  With Julianne's heart in the state its in, the Glenn operation is quite a bit riskier than it would have been if her heart was functioning properly.  We talked about the risks associated with the surgery and what that means for Julianne's recovery.  We talked about what will possibly happen if her heart function does not improve after surgery.  We told Dr. Breitbart that we'll be praying for the positive outcome and he said they are all praying for that too.  This is not at all what we'd expected this second trip to be like.

To be completely honest we're not ready to focus on what will happen if her heart function doesn't improve.  We know some of what to expect if that happens but for right now we're focusing on Julianne getting better.  We're focusing on the treatments at hand and we're focusing our prayers on asking that Julianne's heart would be healed. We ask that all of you would pray that Julianne would be healed.  Please ask anyone you know to pray for her. Feel free to pass her blog on to all who would lift her up in prayer. Too much prayer never hurt anyone (if there even is such a thing as too much prayer).

We know God has a plan for Julianne, a better one than we could ever imagine for her.  Its just hard not knowing what that plan is.  All of the uncertainty is difficult, to say the least, but we know that God wants us to trust Him in times of certainty and in times of uncertainty and that's what we're going to do.  We have moments where we just break down but we're always lifted back up - even when we feel like we've hit the bottom.

Thank you for checking in and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your always faithful prayer for Julianne.

Love,
Kent & Jessica

Kent & Jessica,

We are sending up extra prayers for you three tonight and all this week. I'm glad that you'll have some extra family there to support you for the surgery - that's always an added blessing! We will post a special message on our blog to have everyone praying for you as well. You continue to amaze me by your strong faith and dependence on God, in both the good and not so good times. God bless you 3 tonight and give you a good, restful night's sleep to help you tackle another trying day tomorrow with the MRI and intubation.

Love in Christ,

Julie, Dan & Ethan Miles

We will continue to pray that her heart function is restored to normal. We pray that the hands dealing with her are guided by a more powerful one.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as she gets prepared for her surgery day.

XOXOXOXO

I know that you all must be feeling so weighed down by all these complications. You have come such a long way and I know that it will be hard to pass on Julianne your precious child to the surgeons to do their work. But remember that you are placing her also in the hands of God and he hears all your prayers.

My heart and prayers continue to be with you all especiallyJulianne.

"Come to me all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls" Matthew 11:28-29

Love you

We are friends of the Butchers who have a baby girl Annabelle with the same heart condition that your Julianne does. I found your blog on the Butchers' website and have been following your story. I am praying so very hard for you all right now, I can see things are very trying during these days. You are a wonderful testament of faith and I thank you for that example. I am praying that you, Kent and Julianne will feel God's power, peace and perfect strength all around you today and tomorrow and all this week as you face each step that comes. He is faithful and we are praying! Love, Laurie Epting and family in Columbia, SC

Psalms 91:1-4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler
