Sorry for the Late Update

Julianne has remained intubated (the breathing tube still in) for all of today.  The plan originally was to extubate (take out the tube) last night, but they decided they didn't want to push her.  Then they were going to extubate this morning, but decided during the doctors' rounds to do another echo to check some leakiness of one of Julianne's heart valves.  So, she was sedated again and the echo was done.  Now that is complete and we're just waiting for the results of a blood gas to see if they can go ahead and extubate her now.

The valve they were looking at in Julianne's heart did not seem to be an area of concern and is not what is causing her poor function.  The function is not any better and the cause remains a mystery.  The short term and tentative plan is to see how she does off of the ventilator and see how she does off of the Milrinone (the medication currently helping support her heart).  If she does well off of both of these then they'll go ahead with the Glenn surgery.  We are praying that she does well off of these things.

Please continue to pray for Julianne, as I know you will.  All of your prayers and encouragement mean so much to us.  We know God knows what is wrong with Julianne's heart and we know He knows how to fix it.  We continue to pray that He will heal her heart and we pray for peace for ourselves to accept these things that He has planned for Julianne.

I pray that Julianne will do well with both of the changes and that you will be able to proceed with the procedure. Psalm 121: "I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From whence shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth ...He who keeps you will not slumber". I'm so thankful that our Gracious God never sleeps and holds your precious Julianne in HIS hands. Thanks so much for the updates!!

We pray that she does well with the procedures that are planned. We know in His time the mystery will be revealed.

We pray that you all are getting some rest and comfort in the fact that she's holding her own.

Just know that all our love and support are with you all up there. Keep us posted.

Jessica~ The scripture that you gave to me to get me through so much is so fitting..."Do not be anxious for anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And the PEACE of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"
I am praying that Christ's peace be upon you and Kent as you wait patiently for Julianne's heart to reveal itself to the doctors.

I am praying that Julianne's poor heart function will improve. I am also praying that she does well after being removed from the medications.

As you said God knows the plans he has for Julianne and he will reveal them in time.

I will pray that God gives you the peace and comfort you need as Julianne continues through this journey.

I love you all.
