Down to the Cath Lab

Right now they are sedating and intubating Julianne to take her down to the cath lab. They did not see any blood flow to the right coronary artery during her echo and felt that they needed to do the catheterization today to be safe. If there is some type of blockage they could balloon open the artery, or possibly put in a stent, or take out the clot if there is a clot. It will take a minimum of 2-3 hours, but possibly more like 4 or 5 depending on what they find. One positive thing is that her ventricular function looked slightly improved from yesterday.

Please pray for protection for Julianne during this procedure. Please also pray that the doctors will see what they need to see to help her. Please continue to pray that she'll get well.

I will try to update tonight with the results of the cath. Until then, here are some pictures that we've been wanting to post:

Julianne after her first catheterization
Snow day, we got to get out for a little while because they had to put in a central line for Julianne. We weren't allowed to be in the room and it took about 1 1/2 hours.

Today right before we left her. She's MUCH happier than she's been in the last 4 days! We finally got a few smiles. :)
