4 Months Old!

Julianne is officially 4 months old today!! Time is going by so fast. I sometimes wish I could slow it down a little. Our big girl had her 4 month Dr. Appointment on Thursday. She now weighs 13lbs, 10oz and is 23 3/4 inches long. Her head circumference is 40 cm. She's right at the 50th percentile for her weight, just under 50th for her height and at the 25 percentile for her head circumference. She's really becoming a little butterball. :)

She's also quite the little talker. She "talks" back to me all day long. When I sing to her she "sings" back. Of course I can't understand what she's saying or singing, but that'll come. :)

One thing that's pretty funny is that we were having a hard time getting her to take her pacifier. She'd push it out with her tongue, roll it around, cry...seriously it took like 3 minutes just to get her to suck on it. The funny thing is that the other morning I put it in her mouth and immediately started singing "Row Row Row Your Boat" and she started sucking right away. It has happened like this EVERY time since then. Weird!

Julianne is also enjoying songs with hand motions, "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "If you're happy and you know it" (I make her do the motions), stuff like that. Other regular songs she enjoys are "Home, Home on the Range", "Jesus Loves the Little Children", "Baby Mine", and "I Just Called to Say I Love You." She DOES NOT like songs from the movie Grease, lol.

She still will not take ANYTHING by bottle. We're now giving her a little formula by syringe just so she can still know what its like to have it in her mouth and swallow. We're very thankful that she's still sucking on her pacifier. We've heard that is a very good thing.

No word yet on when surgery #2 will be. I'm hoping to find out by the end of next week. I will let everyone know as soon as we know.

I hope everyone got a chance to see the beautiful pictures that Scott and Tiffany took!! If you didn't please feel free to email me. :)

Finally, here are some pictures we took of our 4 month old baby girl:

Striking a pose!

Ahhhhhhhh!

Does this look like a 25th percentile head?

My tootsies are nice and toasty!

Just relaxin' on a Friday morning.

I even have dimples on my hands now!

I better hang on, sometimes my dreams get a little wild!

Love, love, love the pictures. I love the one with the little headband. Maybe she'll stop trying to pull out the tube and try and get the headband off.

We're sooooo glad to hear that she's growing and growing every day. That's such fantastic news!!!

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Great pictures, and she's doing better percentile wise than Ethan! Being a big girl is not a bad thing in her case! Ethan's surgeon said it's the big babies that have the best survival rate so go Julianne - keep growing big and strong! We keep praying for you to start eating more by mouth, glad to hear you're finally taking your pacifier - that's a good start!
