A Good Day for Julianne (Warning-Contains Post Surgery Photos)

Today was a good day. Julianne is doing well. They're already starting to wean her ventilator down. If all goes well they're hoping to close her chest on Thursday.

To end our night, here are some pictures of our beautiful girl. It starts off with some Pre-operation pictures. Just as a warning, the pictures at the bottom are what she looks like as of tonight. They're somewhat difficult to see, so if you are uncomfortable, please don't scroll all the way to the bottom.

Kent's and my favorite picture so far!

Our sleeping bunny.

She had a little bow in her hair on the morning of surgery. Nurse Kelly had put it in for her. :)

Snuggling her daddy.

Taken tonight - lots of equipment

Sleeping peacefully.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. We have so much to thank God for...for everything really.

Her new Blog photo looks like Grandpa Lenny!
Thanks for taking the time to keep us posted and updated. It helps me to pray specifically. I am also able to keep the ladies in the phone call prayer chain knowledgeable about what is going on! I'm even keeping Jacque P. updated; she's in San Diego. It is so amazing how God gives doctors & scientists the ability to do these surgeries. Praying for a peaceful and uneventful night,
Kelley O.

Julianne just keeps getting more & more beautiful with each picture. I know that it had to be terribly hard to send your perfect looking daughter into a surgery that you knew would send her out looking so fragile. You are being equipped for a future of letting your children go thru difficult things in order to come out on the other side refined. So often we parents want to spare our children of any heartache or hard times...here, you didn't have that choice. You knew that it was this or nothing, that while the present times are hard and scary, the future holds something immensely greater once you get thru it. And your Father is doing the same work in both of you...

I love you all and am praying for you constantly.

Good morning! It's early Friday and I just finished going through all the posts and pictures again. We love you all and continue to lift you all up. Thanks for the pictures... what a blessing!

We pray for continuing "little" victories for Julianne today -- and we're confident that the final victory is already won!

Stay strong!

Love in Christ,
Matt & Patti
