Fairly Uneventful Night

Julianne had a fairly uneventful night, which is good.  They went down a little on her ventilator settings, but then had to go back up again just due to fluid.  So, they suctioned some fluid using the ventilator.  The nurse says that when they get the fluid to go down some they'll be able to wean her off the ventilator more.  She also said they're going to try to get her moving just a little today to help get some of the fluid out.  She'll still be sedated, just won't have the paralytic drug.

Last night we both went back to the Devon Nicole House to sleep.  It was so hard to leave her, but I'd only gotten about 2 hours of sleep the night before.  We had a direct number to Julianne's nurse's cell phone so we called and checked on her as we woke up throughout the night.

We thank God for Julianne's good night and also for giving these doctor's and nurses the knowledge and ability to recognize when settings and things need to be adjusted.  Also, I've been thanking God for giving Dr. Norwood and Dr. Sano the knowledge to develop this surgery.  Even if he never gave God credit for it (I don't know if he did or not) we are. :)

Please continue to pray for Julianne and for us and our families.  All of your comments are so great to read.  They're really uplifting.

I'm so happy to hear she did well last night. The lastest pictures are beautiful!! You'd be suprised at the faith in God that physicians have... alot of times they don't show it openly as it may not always reflect what their patients' families faith is. However, I do believe that God has given all of us a special gift whether we recognize it or not. So I continue to pray for His guidance for all doctors, nurses, and medical professionals minds and hands to be guided by Him. Love to All , Naomi

Hey guys! She is so beautiful. In the ultrasound pic you had up before, I thought she looked like Kent, but now that she's out, she looks like both of you! Josh and I have been praying for you, Julianne, the Dr's, the nurses, and your families. Praise God for what He's done so far. We will continue to pray. Isn't it amazing to know that God in His sovereignty chose this little girl just for you?! That you would be the best parents for her?! I just love that. Here is what we pray over Julianne. Deut. 33:26-27 "There is no one like the God of Israel. He rides across the heavens to help you, across the skies in majestic splendor. The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms are under you." Love you guys. Tracy & Josh

God's infinite wisdom is awesome to me, especially to see how Julianne was sent to the perfect parents for her. Why is it that we are always so amazed at how God handles things? You were perfectly chosen to be the perfect parents to perfectly made Julianne. Wow! Resting in Him, Judy H.
